Was a nice gin. Quite tasty.
And very nice with the blueberry/strawberry mix. We should've asked exactly what that mix was.
We braved the wintery day which had arrived and ventured through to Durbanville for an afternoon of various tastings, pizzas, good laughter and lots of catching up and story-telling.
The various tastings included: - MCC and Macaron Pairing (4x MCC';s), - Wine tasting with a savoury pairing of arancini balls, bitterballen and a babotie spring roll (x4 wines), - gin tasting (Koekemakranka was the name of the gin from a neighbouring farm) (x 4 gins).
Canto is a lovely venue with beautiful views and a very relaxed vibe. A really great place to spend time catching up with friends. We had a fabulous waier (Malan), who explained all the tastings very well and made sure we were all well taken care of throughout the afternoon. The average cost per person for a tasting, shared focaccias, pizzas, other drinks, coffee and water was between R300 - R500.
