It’s billed as “still the sexiest show on Broadway’ and 11 years since the show was produced in SA, Chicago the Musical did not disappoint with all its razzle dazzle.
From the opening number to the finale it was a wondrous spectacle of dancing and singing (and lots of gyrating male bodies for the ladies to ogle).
The actors excelled in bringing the show to life and presenting an entertaining afternoon for our nine ladies to enjoy whilst taking a Kit Kat break.
The story revolves around Roxie Hart, who kills her lover and her subsequent rise and fall from fame (whilst in jail).
My favourite character is Roxie’s husband Amos and his rendition of ‘Mr cellophane’ was awesome.
It’s a show definitely worth seeing.
Thank you to all the ladies who attended on Sunday 24 March, we had a great time.
