Most of us met up at House of coffees for a quick snack, coffee, chat…the usual when 8 – 10 women get together.
Then off to see the movie. I think I speak for all of us when I say it was brilliant. And here’s something amazing…Janine sat still, through the whole movie!
A few single Mexican waves came along when Colin Firth (HUNK) made his appearance on the screen. For anyone who is of the opinion that Pierce Brosnan can’t sing…well, who cares. At 60+ he looks darn good and he played James Bond…as Nadine said, “if Millie Vanillie could do it, why can’t he?”.
Ok, back to the movie. Daughter of single mom getting married, never knew her dad, but from her mom’s diary figures out it’s 1 of 3 possible men who her mom spent some idyllic Greek nights with. Send invite to all 3 and all 3 accept, neither knowing that there’s a possibility of being a dad. And so the fun begins. For the rest, go see the movie. Meryl Streep…awesome (looking for that dress she wore for the wedding, if anyone sees similar one!).
And of course…the songs by ABBA…everyone knows at least one or, like me, one line out of a variety of them. Bet ya you were all humming away the next day (to the frustration of your colleagues and/or partners, etc, hey).
And we even remembered to take a pic…yay!
