What a beautiful day.  We left Milnerton at 9.20am en route to Simonstown.  Sun was out.  Arrived around 10.20am.  Booked our visit for the visit onto the SAS Assegaai submarine. Walked around Simonstown a little before our trip.  We were shuttled off to the sub in the harbour and met by Tony, aka grumpy Tony.  The sub was last active in 2004.  Very very small spaces.  31 guys on the one side.  Les also gave us a bit of a tour.  The visit takes about an hour, depends if you are rushed or not.  Heard some interesting stories.  Once back at Jubilee square we went for lunch at Salty Dog and then had yummy ice cream from the ice cream parlour.  On the way home we stopped off for some pics along Boyes Drive.  Fun had by all.

Lunch, beach walk Melkbos - February 2014

What:  Lunch, beach walk
When:  February
Where:  Kerry's house, Melkbosstrand
Cost:  Donations made towards the animal home in Brooklyn
Patrons present:  Lucy, Vannessa, Janine, Kerry, Amie, Carol and Leonie.  Special guests Mitchell, Cola, Dice, Amber, Branston
Organised by:  Kerry

Kerry prepared lunch and divine Kit-kat dessert for everyone.

As most of the wonderful girlfriends had travelled on the high seas late in the month of January, we decided to have a very low key (aka low budget) KKC for Feb.  It was supposed to be an afternoon of lunch and movies (with a donation to African Tails, an animal shelter in Brooklyn).  However, the movie bit didn’t turn out, so we had lunch, went down to the beach and just generally had a wonderful girlie afternoon.  A total of R850 was donated to African Tails – awesome, thank you sooo much
