Cocktails and Conversation - October 2016

When:  26th October 2016
Where:  Arugula Restaurant, Bellville
Cost:  Drinks and dinner
Patrons present:  Lucy, Clarissa, Linda, Ana-Rita, Amie, Janine, Fiona and Nadine
Organised by:  Nadine

As this year draws to a close I decided to have an evening where we could get together and be thankful for our friendships and for all the blessings we have.
We were supposed to have cocktails and chat but the restaurant I chose did not have cocktails but we had bubbly instead which was divine.
I made up gift envelopes for each lady with the required kit-kat, a notebook and instructions on how to begin our gratitude journals.  Each envelope also had a gratitude verse on the outside from a famous person.
It was a wonderful evening of conversation and enjoying each other's company.
I hope the ladies will make use of their gratitude journals and that we will always remember the blessings we have in each other.

Candle Decorating - September 2016

Where:  Linda's house
Cost:  R50.00
Patrons present:  Ana-Rita, Amie, Kerry, Amber, Lucy, Nadine, Clarissa, Peyton, Grace, Carol, Linda and Janine

On Saturday 17th September we (10 KKC participants) parked off around our dining room table .... ready for some candle decorating.
Each lady chose a pic (already layered with transfer medium), got a candle and some very fine sandpaper to smooth off the shine.... this was a sticky job as some of us have some hand-eye-coordination problems holding the sandpaper blocks and others just felt like not doing it.
With the shine off, it was time to rub the paper off the water soaked pics ...... this also brought along it's own problems......while others were checking out Tinder and eligible men in close vicinity.... need I say more!!
In the end there were 10 beautifully decorated candles....no eligible men... and lots of repeatedly-filled-now-empty margarita glasses,,,,,,,,,, Shawn was a wonderful waiter :-)
