Armed with instructions and a glass of wine, the ladies were shown how to make Christmas and Sweet boxes by cutting, scoring and decorating cardstock. These gift boxes can be used for any occasion. With a small gift and some chocolates, the Christmas box can be used instead of Christmas crackers and the sweet box can be used for Halloween.
While we were being creative, Fiona popped in for a drink and was ropped in to help. (Thanks for the help and Strawberry Daiquiries). No dieting was allowed as we had some yummy pizzas from Debonairs. Despite the wine and the chaos, the ladies gift boxes turned out very well even though some tried to do a "Janine". Guess who is getting one for her 40th.

KKC is a ladies time out but this one we invited the men along as some of them are the main Chefs in their family. We started off with a glass of wine and an explanation by Jan of what we would be cooking, and splitting us up into Teams. We ended off with some more wine and eating a full meal, plenty to go round and very delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and would recommend this as an awesome event. Thanks Jan & Anushka!

As promised by Aidan, it was a challenging workout but he adapted it very nicely to our needs and we all felt very relaxed yet re-energised afterwards. We were also very impressed at how bendy Aidan was perhaps even more surprising was how flexible Kerry was as well!
Thanks so much to Aidan again for a lovely afternoon (we didn’t feel so bad about eating the cakes after our session) and to Sarah for the use of the studio.....Vicky x

What: Candle Decorating
When: 24th January
Where: Linda's House
Cost: R70
Patrons Present: Nadine, Lucy, Vicky, Linda, Carol, Vannessa, Ana-Rita and Janine
Organised By: Linda

On Sunday, 24 January 2010, eight of us gals, Lucy, Janine, Ana-Rita, Nadine, Carol, Vicky, Vannessa and I, Linda, got together for a creative candle decorating session.
Armed with some tips and ideas from the web, we got started…well, somewhat slowly as the creative juices haven’t exactly kicked in for 2010 by then.
Eventually we all got into the painting, sponging, stencilling, sticking stickers and at the end we finished with really stunning decorated candles.
While munching away on some eats, we had time to admire the candles and Janine’s photo taking techniques.
(There were some problems with the acrylic paint coming off but hopefully “next time” we’ll have some wax sheets to make use of.)
