September KKC was held on 5 October 2013, around 1pm at Burgundy Estate, at the Checkers shopping center. Some of us me at Love Cake Cafe for some beverages, while others met two doors down at Bare Sensuals, a lingerie shop, for some pampering essentials. We had a very good experience at the lingerie shop, as the owner did a proper fitting of bra's and advised on what worked and what not. Will be going back for some more shopping. The shop has all sorts of fancy stuff from body stockings, fancy underwear, to sexy nighties, corsets, etc. I think hubbies should accompany the ladies next time around :-)
While the second group browsed the Bare Sensuals shop, the first group had some sweet/savoury treats at Love Cake Cafe. We then moved the party to the Bunker Bar further up in Burgundy Estate, at the Mashie course, for a light lunch and some cocktails. Unfortunately the cocktails consisted of a choice of three, but was good value for money nonetheless. Fair to say, I think we all have some memories to take away with us..

Knitting - August 2013

What:  Knitting Christmas stockings
When:  August 2013
Where:  Carol's house
Cost:  R30 per person
Patrons Present:  Lucy, Clarissa, Carol, Amie, Kerry, Janine, Nadine, Ana-Rita, and Fiona popped in.
Organised by:  Nadine

For August KKC I decided we needed to do a craft so I got the ladies together to knit a mini Christmas stocking to use as a decoration for their Christmas trees this year.

I made up packs for everyone with knitting needles, wool, the pattern (very important) and even a row counter.

Carol let us use her house for the afternoon.

It was an amazing day full of fun and fellowship over pairs of knitting needles. The ladies excelled and knitted the most beautiful stockings.

For some, who were out of practice, it took a while to get used to the needles but once they got going there was not stopping them. I am so proud of all of them.

This KKC has led to another project – knitting Christmas stockings for Santa for Seniors gifts.  Only 200 to knit but we’re motivated to make the target.

Thanks to everyone for making it a great afternoon and to all who attended – KEEP KNITTING!

July - Tea

Awaiting feedback back from Ana
