Thank you for everyone who joined today πŸ’— The girls spent a fun morning wandering around the Uitsig Church Christmas market in Bellville. We spent varying amounts and ended with a quick drink in the tent outside the market.
After this market, a few of us (Carol, Fiona, Carla-Anne, Harper & Amie) popped through to Willwbridge Slow Market and continued shopping (and eating).
It was a lovely and relaxed day spent with good friends and filled with laughter.  And Harper was teh calmest and happiest little munchkin.

We missed those who couldn't make it and hope you enjoyed your day 🌻

Sorry we didn't make it to you Vann. Got stuck on this side of boerewors curtain. But i was wearing my t-shirt πŸ’—

CATCH UP AND (POSSIBLE) CRAFTING PROJECTS TO FINISH - OCTOBER 2023

What: Catchup and possible crafting projects to finish
When: 4 November 2023
Where: Kerry's new home
Cost: Plate of food

A wonderful day celebrating new beginnings for Kerry and her mom in their new home. Another new beginning of life getting to meet each "aunty" sharing a special moment with Harper. Life is precious and these special moments are ones to always remember and treasure. Friendship extended over many years and some shorter years but always having each other's back and holding each other up through the good times and those more difficult times.
Vann M did share her tye-dye goodies.
Ps, and yes, no crafting got done .. (well except for Carol), wasn't the day for it. Alll of the above was needed moreπŸ’–

TUBS OF KINDNESS - SEPTEMBER 2023

What: Tubs of Kindness
When: September 2023
Where: Linda's abode
Cost: Items bought for the bucket
Patrons Present: Amie, Lucy, Fiona, Carol, Nadine, Ana, Vanessa S, Janine, Linda
Organised by: Linda

We started off with a champagne (and a dash of OJ) breakfast and lots of chatting and laughing, followed by the main reason we were there................
Tubs of kindness.
This is a project run by Antonietta Kopke - Co-ordinator
She has a list of boys and girls ranging from babies 1 years old to 6 year old (preschoolers which will be starting Grade 1 next year)  from Founders Educare in Khayelitsha and we decided to sponsor a “Tub of Kindness” for one of these children, Oyisa Bakalisi (5-6years).

The contents (which should be NEW and age appropriate) are as follows:
 ·         Personal Hygiene – one of each - Toothbrush & Toothpaste, Face Cloth, Bar of Soap,
·         A set of NEW clothing (shorts/Skirt/pants with Top/Tshirt)
·         small packet of sweets,
·         A small toy that’s age appropriate
·         Educational supplies

The items are placed in 5L ice cream tubs or bigger plastic buckets. These are much more practical to use as a storage container/keepsake box, durable and the idea is that this then becomes a keep safe box where they can store their stuff in.

I gave the ladies items to bring from the list above. Typically, we had to manoeuvre the items carefully as to close the 10litre “filled-to-the-brim” bucket…A HUGE thank you ladies!
And then…the really crafty among us decorated Little Oyisa’s bucket with beautiful Christmas stickers.
Loads of fun, great teamwork, Lekker Saturday morning with the KKC girls!♥🌈
