Met at the Intaka parking lot at 9.00.  Walked around the canal, taking pics, looking for rocks, catching up.

We walked just over 4 km in strong wind.  We had intended to look at the new Ratanga park walkway, however this was a little further than expected and the wind was too strong. Saw some baby chicks. We went to the New Coffee lounge on Manhattan Square (old building that Vicky lived in.)They had specials on for breakfast which most ordered as well as cupcakes and other cakes.  Service was not great and they had load shedding. Lucy and I waited for ever for our chicken pie. They did give those that wanted coffee on the house because of the long wait.  Bad experience that had a good ending to it.  Thank you all for joining, will see you all again in the New Year for new adventures.  I did forget the Kit-Kats so there is an IOU for the ladies above.

CATCH-UP SESSION - OCT / NOV 2021

So as per usual, I woke up late again with my planning but I thought a catch-up session with the girls would be lekker.

Eskom decided that it would also be a great idea to have some downtime at the same time as our session.

Of course, we were there for the catch-up, luckily, as our menu suddenly shrunk quite a bit... nothing that can be fried.... so no crumbed mushrooms, chips, schnitzel, jalapeño poppers, etc... so it was a relatively healthy outing as well.

We did a lot of chatting and catching up and as we finished our dinner by candle light, the lights went back on.  We did however score big on the two for one drinks deal.

We will have to have a session there again for the ladies to try the fried stuff next time.... hee hee hee !

Thanks ladies, and I will start organizing earlier this year... or try to at least.....
