Due to lockdown KKC get-togethers have been delayed. So for my May KKC, I decided to play catch up and host a DIY money box Zoom Workshop on 1 August 2020.
I ordered the money boxes from Cornel (JC's laser crafts) who has a laser machine and can cut almost anything you need. He charged me R60/box and R40 / perspex. If you need anything laser cut, you can contact him on 0825515888.
The supply and printing of the vinyl was Free. The ladies came up with some unique ideas for the wording on their boxes. They also chose the colour of vinyl to go with their paint colour.
The ladies had to have their own supplies of paint, brushes, glue, scissors, decorations and fancy paper. We found that it is better to either spray paint or make sure that the acrylic paint doesn't go into the slots, otherwise the pieces don't fit.
I personally think that everyone's boxes looked beautiful in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed making mine, so I decided to do another 4 for gifts.
