For
August KKC I decided we needed to do a craft so I got the ladies together to
knit a mini Christmas stocking to use as a decoration for their Christmas trees
this year.
I
made up packs for everyone with knitting needles, wool, the pattern (very
important) and even a row counter.
Carol
let us use her house for the afternoon.
It
was an amazing day full of fun and fellowship over pairs of knitting needles.
The ladies excelled and knitted the most beautiful stockings.
For
some, who were out of practice, it took a while to get used to the needles but
once they got going there was not stopping them. I am so proud of all of them.
This
KKC has led to another project – knitting Christmas stockings for Santa for
Seniors gifts. Only 200 to knit but we’re motivated to make the target.
Thanks
to everyone for making it a great afternoon and to all who attended – KEEP
KNITTING!
