Journalling is all about making use of scraps of unused or recycled items, eg: old books, cardboard boxes, wrapping paper, gift bas, etc! And to use these to create pages in a book, be it mood boards, memories or just creating something beautiful. The idea with the KKC today was to introduce all of the possibilities of letting your heart guide you in being creative. The books used have lines, so it can also be used as an actual Journal, to write down your "truth" in the moment you feel it.
You can either first write, then create yoru page, or vice versa. there is no right or wrong, no mistakes, an no page will not be stunning. It will always represent you in that moment - to put your thoughts and feelings on paper.
I think some were converted to this new (yet old) creative conception, a new way of scrapbooking in a simpler way. I will always remember this very special KKC, for many reasons. It reminded me just how blessed we are to have each other, and to learn and share our knowledge. This KKC write-up is the first in my "Junk Journal". :-)

Carol gave us a lesson on how to make your own Bespoke Gin. She explained how DIY Gin is made with Vodka and Juniper berries. Once infused, your choice of botanicals are added. There are so many possible ingredients... the world's your oyster. Then, the gin mixture is left to develop further. Once infused to your taste, it is left to settle for a few days. Enjoy with your favourite Tonic Water.

Full step-by-step instructions are attached.

Ps... at the next KKC, we are all going to sample everyone's DIY Gin.
